La Sunsystem Albese travolge 3-0 la Vistalli Foppapedretti e si conferma al secondo posto in B1 femminile di volley. Grande amarezza per la dirigenza di casa, che auspica un seguito più largo, anche in prospettiva playoff. Bella comunque la partita delle albesine contro una squadra giovane, imbottita di bellissime promesse, che non ha mai mollato di fronte ad atlete sicuramente più esperte.

 

 

 

 

1º SET
Pronti via e le padrone di casa in men che non si dica scavano un solco (8-2 e 16-8 ai tempi tecnici) con le ragazze bresciane che sembrano non reggere la forza offensiva delle albesine. Con una ricezione, stasera molto buona, Trabucchi, particolarmente ispirata, trova Marta Confalonieri e Mazza con buona continuità. Anche la battuta della Sunsystem stasera funziona bene. Il set si chiude in poco più di 20 minuti.

2º SET
Le notizie provenienti da Busto e da Desio sull’andamente delle partite delle dirette avversarie, spronano ulteriormente le ragazze di Cairoli. Foppa però non ci sta e vuole vendere cara la pelle. Turino sa che questa è l’ultima occasione per sperare nella salvezza e sprona le sue giovani campionesse, che rispondono con una grinta incredibile difendendo l’indifendibile, in particolar modo di Elli. Foppapedetti avanti fino al secondo tempo tecnico (5-8 e 13-16 si time out tecnici). Cairoli inserisce anche Colonna in ricezione per M. Confalonieri e l’esperta giocatrice ex Legnano fa per intero la sua parte. Mazza e Chiara Confalonieri in battuta riducono lo strappo e alla prima occasione chiudono il set a 22.

3º SET
Sembra oramai tutto in discesa il cammino di Sunsystem. 8- 4 e 16-10 dicono di un set comandato senza patemi. Quando però meno te lo aspetti le ragazze della Foppa alzano il ritmo e, complice qualche errore delle padrone di casa, impattano a 22 e rimettono in discussione il risultato. La solita capitana, con Mazza e la sorella Marta, però vogliono questo 3-0 e perentoriamente chiudono set ed incontro.

Now I know why.The call alerting me to Dave's passing came this morning, from my brother, residing in Medford. The memory album instantly flashed before me.We'd not seen one another for 2, perhaps 3 years. We met for lunch Dave was easily recognized, seemingly unchanged from our youth the infectious smile, his equally contagious laugh and quick humor the same as I remembered from the last of sighting one another some 30 years ago in Southern Oregon. We'd abandoned our childhood nests for college, then disbursed by the wind. We'd settled only a few miles from one another in the Portland area for some years.Dave and I were fast friends through 4-H summer schools, camps, county fairs. Dave raised sheep. I had project in sheep, swine and other disciplines. Dave never held my association with pigs against me thankfully. We were 4-H camp counselors together, shared friendships and associations that have spanned the years, despite lacking renewals.Chatting over lunch the last time we saw one another was fast and far too short. Dave was easy and bright eyed, ready wit and quick to engage. I regret I'd not followed through our let's have lunch again commitment sooner. Now I'll just have lunch with Dave in my vision.

To be sure, the liberals are sure to be crying foul.I haven't decided for sure that I will support Governor Perry, but I really like what I see so far.
